We say " Have you eaten?" as a greeting between acquaintances. We use chopsticks and spoons instead of forks and knives. As you can see, much of our culture is revolved around eating:)

The food in China is no-doubt the Best. You will experience different food in different regions. But all of them are great and diverse due to our long 5000 yrs of history.

It is highly recommended to travel to lesser-known spots in each city and avoid tourist seasons. This is because Chinese usually overwhelm tourist spots during weekends and public holidays. If you can, try to explore freely around the city in off-season. This would boost your experience greatly.

Although Mandarin is the standard language in major cities in China, but people from different places actually speak very differently. So try to learn the local speaking style if you want to mix in better with the locals. But Don't worry because we all understand Mandarin.
